Lockdown Relief Mumbai
A project of the PRESENCE Foundation in India
We are writing to you for your support in our efforts, inspired by Maharishikaa Preeti Maiyaa, to help during this Covid crisis in India.
With India recording over 9 million Covid cases and 120,000 deaths in May 2021, and the numbers continuing to increase on a daily basis, it is a crisis of proportions never witnessed before. Every one of us here in Mumbai personally knows someone who has succumbed to the virus.
With a collapsing healthcare system and overwhelmed crematoriums, the traumatic consequences of the deadly second wave of Covid are without a doubt impacting everyone. Thousands of families are going without basic food.
With lockdown restrictions easing in Mumbai, there’s hope of a return to normalcy, however the impact of the last two months is devastating to many and there is still an immense sense of uncertainty and desperation. Livelihoods of thousands of workers will not come back on track that soon. They need food. You can make a difference.
Your INR 1,900 / USD 26 will provide a two weeks supply of food to a family!
Emergency Food Packs including essentials like rice, pulses, flour, oil, spices, etc. along with pure ascorbic acid Vitamin C to boost immunity are being continually distributed to families in Mumbai as and when donations are received.
With the Maharishikaa’s love, your donation – small or big – will provide much more than handouts and a band-aid solution – it will support a social thrust backed by a spiritual force, which evokes within individuals the inner strength needed to face each day in these times of hunger and grieving.
Please make possible PRESENCE Foundation emergency food packs.
To support one family for two weeks donate INR 1,900 / USD 26
